Women’s Monthly
Full Moon Circle
Held by Winter Jendayi ~ Koskatlan
A space for Feminine Connection & Honoring, through Ritual, Healing Arts and Moon & Womb Wisdom
Guided by the cycles of the Moon, we will immerse ourselves within the teachings of the Sacred Feminine as we cultivate a circle of care and connection, learning and growing, utilizing earth-based practices to support our lives and personal intentions.
This circle is rooted in the wisdom of the Moon Dance (a Mexica women’s 4-night prayer ceremony which originated in Mexico) and many of the teachings offered within this space come from the abuelas (grandmothers) of the Metztliyoliliztli Danza where Winter has been dancing for the past decade.
As we dive into a variety of topics throughout our circles, we will keep a special focus on Moon and Womb Wisdom. And as this is a womb-centered space, all who have wombs are welcome. Mamas with children and babies are welcome to join us as well!
Winter Jendayi~Koskatlan
Winter is a musician, ceremonialist, mentor and doula whose path and work is rooted in earth-based healing arts. For over a decade she has been a devoted student within various Indigenous traditions, as well as, relearning and reconnecting with her own ancestral ways. Throughout these many years, she has traveled extensively and worked as an organizer/facilitator for her communities and teachers, weaving worlds for cultural exchange and prayer pathways.
Winter is a Moon Dancer, Sahumadora and Pipe Carrier of the Meztztliyolilitzli Danza in Costa Rica where she has been dancing since 2014, under the guidance of her teacher and Abuela, Nanatzin Itzpapalotl. In 2019, as Winter completed her first round of commitment to this work, she received the Nahuatl name, ‘Koskatlan,’ as a symbol of this initiation. This name, meaning, ‘the woman who weaves her life,’ guides her work and personal path.
As an Afro-Indigenous woman, Winter believes in reindigenization as a path to liberation through honoring our intrinsic connection with the Earth and remembering our Original Ways. This is the prayer that holds all that she offers.
